Virgal  AllenVirgal Allen 62 of Big Run Trace Catlettsburg, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Monday April 20, 2009.

Virgal was born in Boyd County Kentucky on August 16, 1946, the son of the late Marion and Emma Annon Allen. He was a retired custodian for the Boyd County Board of Education with 27 years of service. In addition to his parents, Virgal was preceded in death by 4 grandchildren Landon & Cameron, Hannah, and Kayla, 2 sisters Wanda Adkins and Rose Robinett, and a brother Hobart Allen.

Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years Jacqueline (Jackie) Young Allen, a daughter and son-in-law Nikki and Everett Adams of Ashland, Ky., two sons Jason and wife Melinda Allen of Louisa, Ky. and Brodey Allen at home, three sisters Dean Frye of Ashland, Ky., Phyllis Adkins of Flatwoods, Ky., and Gracie Blankenship of Ashland, Ky., three brothers Jimmy and John Allen both of Ohio, and Richard Allen of Ashland, Ky., eight grandchildren Haley, Chey, Sierra, Chassidy, Nate, Corey, John Michael, and Kelci.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday April 24th at 1:00 pm at the Garner Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Jason Carpintero. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery at Trace Road Rush, Ky. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday at the Garner Missionary Baptist Church.
