As a sister that deeply loved Bertha. I feel so sorry that my sister is gone. My sympathy goes out to her children, Joesh and Nathanial. These are her direct blood children. Tammy was her sisters daughter that she took care of and did not leagely adopt and Pauline was her brothers cchild that she took care of with out leagally adopting. I just wanted this to be understood to the community because the funneral home posted information that Melvin Pack told them. I tried to correct this information and the funeral home said that they could not unless Melvin Pack called them and told them. Clearly this isn't important enough for Melvin to tell the world now that my sister is gone home to be with God and the rest of our family.Birtha was not born in Louisa,Ky. She was born in Ft.Thomas,Ky and was the sister to 14 other children, two that were twins and died at birth, so yu can see that she came from a very large family that had a love for her that could not be measured.
I love her children despit what some may say and no, (Melvin) is not and was not the husband he was supposed to be. That is why my sister divorced him prior to her death. My sister made Melvin the exsecutor of her estate because she new that her children had disabilities with drugs and would ultimatly be there own demise in the event that she should die. The boys, she loved with ALL HER HEART!
Berthas death was very untimley.
I believe that she could have lived longer if she had closer attention to her infection that was in her leg. I did all I could to get her the best medical help but now that she is gone I can see that I was to late with my efforts.
Nathanial pulled the plug to allow his mommy to die. He didn't bother to ask any one of her sisters or brothers to give their opinion.
I do greve about that. I wish some one would have called me. My number was right in front of them and I requested some one to call me in the event that some thing seriouse should come about. No one called,(for this I am very sad).
I forgive Nathanial for not calling me. I surley wish he would have. My sister and I prayed together and I know that she is with God and the rest of our family. I miss you Bertha (Bert) to me I'll be joining you soon.
With all my love. ((MY heart is filled with sorro........
