
Ethel Borders Brewer 94 of Ulysses, Kentucky went to be with her Lord on Friday Morning June 18th. Ethel was born November 15, 1915 at Ulysses, the daughter of the late Henry and Sella Hickman Borders. She owned and operated the former Elmwood Motel and was a member of the Walnut Grove FWB church for 78 years.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Earl Brewer who died in August of 1969; a sister Gladys Borders Rupert, a brother Hestel Borders, two grand daughters Lori and Lisa Brewer, two daughters-in-law Mary and Shara Brewer, and a son-in-law Leon Rice.
Local survivors include a daughter Patricia Rice Clay and husband Bill of Nippa, Kentucky and a son and daughter-in-law Jim and Shirlyn Brewer of Ulysses, Kentucky. She is also survived by four sons Donald and Carol Brewer of Orient, Ohio, Gene and Brenda Brewer of Millsville, N.J., Charles David Brewer of London, Ohio, and Richard Brewer of Columbus, Ohio, a aunt Lurlie Borders of Paintsville, KY and a very special caregiver Pearl Horn, 19 Grandchildren and a host of Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jimmy Vanhoose and Rev. Willie Gene Hayes at 1:00 pm Sunday at the Walnut Grove FWB Church. Burial will follow in the Borders Cemetery at Ulysses, Kentucky.
