Howard Gartin Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1936 - 2010 Howard Gartin 73 of Blaine, Ky. Passed away Saturday July 3, 2010 at his home following a long battle with cancer. Howard was born at Blaine on August 5, 1936, the son of the late Charlie C. and Pollie Weaver Gartin. He was a retired owner/operator of a trucking company. Survivors include his loving wife Lois Peggy Wheeler Gartin, a daughter and son-in-law Susan and James Bets of Columbus, Ohio; three sons Steve Gartin and Michael Gartin both at Blaine and Fred and wife Lisa Gartin of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Ford McKenzie on Wednesday July 7th at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Gartin Cemetery at Blaine, Ky. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday at the Wilson Funeral Home.

My uncle Howard was a good Man we still miss him today. It's always been nice to go visit him down home he was a very caring Man.

I will remember Howard for what he will always be and that is a Good Ole Boy. I worked with Howard and the boy's at Berwick and enjoyed the conversations with him and his friendship as well. Never a dull moment sitting at the drivers table when Howard was there. Good times for sure. Not many people you run into that you can call a true friend. Howard was a true friend. Peggy I wish you and the Boy's the very best. I hope you remember the good memories and I bet there were plenty. You folks are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.
