Ira Ira F. Bud Kirk 80 of Louisa, KY passed away Wednesday September 29, 2010 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Bud was born June 29, 1930 in Lawrence County, the son of the late Thomas Benton and Rebecca Jane Wellman Kirk. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Shorten Kirk who died in 2004. He was a farmer and laborer, member of the Oak Grove Church, and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include four daughters Trena Blackburn Green, Lorie Kirk, Mary Jane Janie Foster and Nellie Mae Hopson all of Louisa, a son James Jim Bo Kirk of Fort Gay, WV, a brother James Jim Kirk of Louisa, six grandchildren Christina Kincaid, Tina Blackburn, Douglas Little Doug Foster, Lena Ison, Jimmy Ray Kirk, and Preston Kirk Hopson, four great grandchildren Laylen Bentley, Rylan Kincaid, Kyndul Kincaid, and Baby James.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday October 2nd at 2:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. Mack Ray Cyrus and Rev. Tom Kitts. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens at Louisa.

In his honor Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
