Oakley Lyons Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1928 - 2011 Oakley Lyons 83 of Louisa went to be with his Lord on Friday September 9, 2011 following a long illness. Oakley was born May 15, 1928 at Louisa, the son of the late George and Nolda Edwards Lyons. He was a coal miner and minister. Oakley was preceded in death by his wife Opal Pearl Lyons who died in 2005. Surviviors include three sons Raymond Lyons of Huron, Ohio, Kenneth Lyons and Chester Lyons both of Louisa, KY; a brother Arthur Lyons of Louisa; two sisters Marie Church of Ohio and Laura Abshire of Michigan; three grandchildren and for great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Ronnie Childers and Rev. Willie Gene Hayes on Sunday Sept. 11th at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hayes Cemetery at Charley, KY. Friends may call after 4:00 pm Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home.
