1940 - 2011
 Roy Slone 71 of Slone Farm Road Catlettsburg, KY went to be with his Lord on Sunday September 11, 2011 following a brief illness.
Roy was born April 19, 1940 in Johnson County Kentucky, the son of the late Lee Roy and Anna Marie Martin Slone. He was a retired coal miner, a mason, and member of the Whittaker FWB Church.
In addition to his parents Roy is preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Slone.
Survivors include a daughter Kathy Adams of Paintsville, KY; four step daughters Judy Parrott of Brooksville, Fl, Sandra Carter of Maine, Joyce Music and Lois Scurlock both of Tutor Key, KY; three sisters Rebecca Sue Meek of Thealka, KY, Alice Vanhoose of Tutor Key, KY, and Barbara Sammons of Wittensville, KY; three brothers Bob Slone of Boones Camp, KY, Hubert Slone of Wittensville, KY, and Billy Jack Slone of Catlettsburg, KY; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several step grand and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday Sept. 14th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home by Revs Willie Gene Hayes and Venny Vanhoose. Burial will follow in Yatesville Memorial Gardens at Louisa, KY.
Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home.
