Janie Leona Marcum 49 of Louisa passed away Sunday October 9, 2011 at Three Rivers Medical Center following a long illness.
Janie was born December 16, 1961 in Lawrence County, the daughter of Bessie L. Fitchpatrick Laney and the late Walter Milton Laney. She was a homemaker. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by two brothers David Preston and Melvin Preston and also three nephews and a niece.
Survivors include her husband Virgil L. Marcum Jr.; mother Bessie Laney, four sisters Junenell May of Louisa, Annie Dutton of Nats Creek, Louella Stepp and Mickey Rose both of Louisa, a brother Mike Laney of Louisa.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday Oct. 12th at 1:00 pm at the Richardson Chapel Church by Rev. Brad Dutton and Rev. Tommy Meade. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery Louisa, KY.
Friends may call after 3:00 pm Tuesday at the Richardson Chapel Church.
