Geraldine Burchett Smith 76 of Louisa went to be with her Lord on Tuesday December 13, 2011 following a long illness.
Geraldine was born April 30, 1935 at Smokey Valley, the daughter of the late Ken and Cora Neeley Levering. She was of the Baptist Faith and a retired social worker for the State of Kentucky.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son Timmy Burchett and two sisters Dorothy and Marcella Joyce Levering.
Survivors include six daughters Eva (Ralph) Newsome, Ruby Burchett, Linda (Wayne) Wright, Doris (Richard) Cook, Kim (Jay) Childers all of Louisa, and Carold (Dale) Whitaker of Catlettsburg, KY; three sons David (Tina) Burchett, Glen (Iris) Burchett, and Michael (Donna) Burchett all of Louisa, a sister Betty Phelps of Louisa, and two brothers Gordon Levering of Desoto, TX and Pete Levering of Louisa, 21 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday Dec. 16th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home by Rev. Bobby Workman and Rev. Jimmy Osborne. Burial followed in the Burchett Cemetery at Louisa.
