Rosalind E DickersonRosalind Rippingale Dickerson died on April 7, 2011 at a local nursing home. She was born on September 8, 1920, in Cambridge, England. Rosalind was a war bride marrying Arthur P. Dickerson in 1944 in England. She and baby daughter, Sheila, came to the U.S. aboard the Queen Mary in 1946. She and A.P. settled in Memphis, Tennessee. Roz lived in many places because of her husband's job with the VA Hospital system. They came to Kerrville in 1966 from Gulfport, Mississippi. Rosalind was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church where she served as a Reader for many years. She was also a longtime member of the Daughters of the British Empire and the Brits. She knitted beautiful sweaters for her family and like to knit dolls for her great-grandchildren. She was an excellent homemaker and was famous for her Maid of Honour tea cakes. Rosalind was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family and her many friends.

Survivors include Sheila and Brown Stokes of Mountain Home, Richard Dickerson of Dothan, Alabama, Gary Dickerson of Kerrville, Diane and David Clark of Lakehills, and Chuck and Maryann Dickerson of Kerrville. Thirteen grandchildren: Michelle Gundlach, Kirk and Jessica Stokes, Jane Bridges, Richard, Diana, Chuck and Helen Dickerson, Amber Jiran and Flint Dickerson, John and Joshua Clark. She was preceded in death by Melissa Dickerson Hendon.

Twenty great-grandchildren: Nicole, Gunner, Jaala, Courtney, Melissa, Riley, Brett, Dustin, John, Bridgette, McKenzie, Luke, Aaron, Reva, Corey, Austin, Colton, Darian, Jarod, Leah, Sky and Radon, and three great-great-grandchildren Alexis, Dace and Jacob.

Aunt Rose also leaves behind many nieces and nephews she dearly loved along with her many, many friends

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

"Chuckie" and all .......I met your Mom in 1977 and have many memories of Roz over these past years. In reading the obituary, she has left many branches/twigs on the Family Tree. She is at peace now and most likely having/insiting Dean Martin sing to her .... she loved "Dino" and she loved all of you and I loved and admired her her .... Joyceee
