Jewell Dennis Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1959 - 2012 Jewell Dennis 53 of Jasper died at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital Monday August 20, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Forest Oaks with interment to follow at the West Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A native of Honolulu, HA. she moved to Jasper from North Carolina in 1978 and was co-owner and operator of The Corn Dog Stand with her husband Jerry Wayne Dennis after they married in 1980 and later was employed with Razzle Dazzle as a Cosmetologist. Survivors include her father A.J. Sunday a husband Jerry Wayne Dennis son Jerry Wayne Dennis Jr. all of Jasper, TX. daughters Theres Copley of Carthage, TX. and Dawn and husband Leif Howard of Jasper, TX. a brother Jay and wife Kathy Sunday of Waco, TX. sisters Pat Morris of West Memphis, AR. and Kathy Silvabarros of Jasper, TX. Since the 20th of this month I have waited and prayed I would wake up and find out all of this was a dream. Hoping my aunt/Godmother was still here with us. I know she is in a place without pain and no more suffering for her, But that does not stop the pain of not being able to call her and hear her voice or go see her and hug her. She was a lot of things to a lot of different people and no matter if she just met them or not she accepted them for who they was. She will never be forgotten and will always be loved. I love You Aunt Jewell and will keep you in my heart forever. Your loving nephew/Godson Keli or as you called me no matter what Terry.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Dennis Family. Due to distance, I had not seen Jewell in a long time. I remember she could make a person laugh regardless of the circumstance. She was a wonderful person and I hold a lot of great memories from my childhood that have her in them. I will forever cherish those times and hold her memory in my heart forever. RIP Jewell.
