Charlie Horton 83 of Lake Sam Rayburn, TX. died at Lufkin Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit on Tuesday October 23, 2012. Memorial services will be held at the Rayburn United Methodist Church on Monday November 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall at the church. A native of Brownwood, TX. and former resident of Bellaire, TX. he moved to Sam Rayburn from Fairfield, TX. in 1991 he was employed with John Robertson as a Oil & Gas Lease Broker for 21 years. Charlie was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include is wife of 61 years Norma Horton of Sam Rayburn, TX. son Steve Wilson and wife Linda Horton of Friendswood, TX. daughters Maureen "Renee" and Mark Moore Latour, Tracy Lynn and husband Chuck Bedsole brother Richard "Dickie" and wife Shay Horton of Stafford, TX. sister Carolyn Ann and husband Josh Lawson of Spring, TX. Eight grandchildren Grace, Matt, Lee, Jessie, Shevelyn, Rela, Bobby and Ashley. Six great grandchildren Dillon, Kendall, Savanah, Jessie, Jack and Mosimo.
