Linda Sue Griggs Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1947 - 2013 Linda Sue Griggs, 66, of Newton, TX. died at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 22, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Monday June 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Oaks Chapel. A native of Lake Charles, LA. she moved to Newton, TX. in 2001 from Sulphur, LA. She attended Bridge City High School. She married Robert Griggs on April 17, 1992. She was a homemaker. Some of her interests was watching nature, collecting vintage bottles and strumming her guitar. She was preceded by her Parents, Namon Morris and Marjorie Lea Wright. She was preceded by one brother, Roger Dale Morris of Nacogdoches, TX. Linda has three wonderful children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is survived by her husband, Robert Griggs of Newton, TX. She is also survived by three children, Naomi and Jeff Waldrop of Westlake, LA, Alfia and Jason Chesson of Lake Charles, LA and James Jacobs of Newton, TX. She is survived by two brothers, Kenneth and Barbara Morris of Amarillo, TX. and Doyle Morris of Newton, TX. She is survived by two sisters, Norma and Curtis Bright of Dallas, TX and Ramona Morris of Newton, TX. Her grandchildren are Summer Moore, Brooke Waldrop, Darren Chesson and Heather Chesson. She has one great granddaughter, Charlee Waldrop.

I'm so sorry to learn of your great loss. Although I never met your mother, I can see the warmth and love, just looking at her picture. You and all your family are in my prayers. One scripture comes to mind, 1 Cor.15:26, our enemy, Death will be brought to nothing! Love, Peggy
