 Tyler Gordon,17, of Jasper died Sunday June 23, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper, TX. Private interment to follow at the Smith Cemetery.
Tyler was a lifelong resident of Jasper, he was known for his love for family, friends, and numerous cherished activities. He participated in archery, skeet-shooting, & outdoor activities, which he loved. He also loved playing video games with his friends. He excelled in academics at Jasper High School and was in the top of his class of 2014. He was active in the JHS Marching Band and loved playing the tuba. Tyler was known most of all, for his sense of humor, and having the gift of lifting others up when they were down, or just being a good friend, his genuine love for his friends transcended into trust, commitment, and his honor of confidentiality. He is survived by his mother Angela L. Gordon of Jasper, TX. and a brother Thomas J. Taylor of Dallas, TX. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and numerous friends. He loved his family and celebrating birthdays, holidays, and vacations. He cherished making memories and living life to the fullest. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of your choice. |

My Cherished Sister~ I was so shocked and saddened to hear of your loss. Although I haven't seen Tyler in a long time I know he was, like his mother, a kind, giving and wonderful person. God only Blesses us with so very few person like him. I wish I could be there to help you through this, please know you are in my heart and prayers.

Angela, Diane and James, I am so sorry for your loss. Angela, there are no words to describe how you are feeling. Losing a child is by far the worst thing I have ever had to deal with. But with God's loving grace and special family members and friends you will heal. The hurt never goes away, but with time the wonderful memories are gifts from above. Love you all.
