Mrs. Evelyn Jones Brown, age 69, of Bowdon, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 following an extended illness
Mr. Brown was born June 26, 1938 in Fulton County the daughter of the late Truman George Wallace and Geraldine Salley Opel Wallace Jones. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Debra and Paul Camp, Villa Rica, Rhonda Lynn Brown, FL, Alicia Woods, FL, sons, Homer Brown, Jr., Newnan, Paul Brown, Carrollton, brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Ann Jones, Bowdon, Wilburn and Dale Jones, Temple, Guy Jones, Temple, Carlton and Joan Jones, Carrollton, Mac and Flora Jones, Carrollton, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Raymond Terrell, Villa Rica, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Brown, Sr., brother, Robert Lee Jones, and sister, Joyce Elizabeth McAfee.
Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, March 19, 2007 at 2 o’clock from J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Chris Connell and Rev. Joe Driver officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Chris and Mrs. Karen Connell
Pallbearers include Matthew Hines, Michael Jones, Ronnie Jones, Nelson Woods, Robert Jones, Jr, and Billy Jones.
Interment will follow the service in The White Oak Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Newnan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 until 8 P.M.
