Elmer Andrew Cook, Jr.
WEST PORTSMOUTH-Elmer Andrew Cook, Jr., 73, of West Portsmouth, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at SOMC in Portsmouth. Elmer was born April 16, 1947 in Scioto County to the late Elmer Andrew Cook and Martha Broomfield Cook. Elmer had been employed in the Finishing Department at OSCO Industries; he was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Portsmouth Eagles and St. John’s Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Kristine Lentz Cook. Elmer is survived by his wife, Julia E. Breech Cook, whom he married August 17, 1997 in McDermott; a son Andrew “Andy” Ray (Angie) Cook; a step-son, James (Summer) Norman; a daughter, Jenny Elaine (Bill) Yazell; a step-daughter, Deeana Norman; a sister, Elsie Clark; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 14, 2020 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
