Lewis Edward Shearer
BLACKLICK, OH Lewis Edward Shearer, 85, of Blacklick, OH passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Sage Park Residential and Memory Care in Gahanna, OH. Lewis was born September 15, 1935 in Greenup County, KY to the late Earl Roy Shearer and Virginia Campbell Shearer. Lewis served eight years in the Naval Reserves and was employed as a Millwright at Dayton Mallable/Ironton Iron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Darrell Roy Shearer and a sister, Delores Massie. Lewis is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sue Allen Shearer, whom he married October 27, 1957 in Haverhill, Ohio. Also surviving are a son, Eddie Shearer; two daughters, Sherry Broughton and Virginia Heins; three sisters, Margaret Hammonds, Shirley Finney and Jenny Frazier and seven grandchildren.
Private services for Lewis were held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Gary Arthurs officiating. Interment was in Junior Furnace Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
