James Ray Diamond
WHEELERSBURG-James Ray Diamond, 94, of Wheelersburg passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at his home. James was born December 23, 1926 in Wayne County WV to the late Elby and Caroline Wellman Diamond. James was a World War II and Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and he is a member of the American Legion. He was employed as a Process Operator at Goodyear Atomic/USEC and he was a member of Lucasville Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Adkins Diamond on October 11, 2011, whom he married December 23, 1949. James was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Diamond and a brother, Elby Diamond, Jr. He is survived by two sons, Rick (Netha) Diamond and David (Belinda) Diamond; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Military graveside honors for James will be 11:00 am Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Wayne County, WV. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, June 30,2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
