Ronald Eugene Johnson
WHEELERSBURG-Ronald Eugene Johnson, 84, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Ronnie was born November 20, 1936 in Wheelersburg to the late Henry “Wilson” Johnson and Thelma Frazie Johnson. Ronnie was retired from Empire Detroit Steel where he worked in the Blast Furnace Department. He was a high school graduate and a member of the Shawnee Golden Bears. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Johnson. Ronnie is survived by two sons, Bret (Kelly) Johnson and Chad (Angie) Johnson; two daughters, Dana (Kevin) Clausing and Jill (Gary) Gramlich; a brother, Carter Johnson; two sisters, Norma Joseph and Barbara Bennett; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Dustin) Woodrum, Kristin Clausing, Kara (Paul) Choi, Julia (Charles) Kay, Catherine Johnson, Makayla Johnson, Kaleb Johnson and Cullan Gramlich and four great grandchildren, Westin, Judah, Nolan and LilyAnne. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Ron’s name to SOMC Hospice.
Graveside services for Ronnie will be 11:00 am, Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Memorial Burial Park. Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
