Rebecca Della (Conn) Smith
Rebecca Della (Conn) Smith, born in Sandy Hook, Kentucky, reached her heavenly home during the early morning hours of Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Mansfield Memorial Homes in Mansfield, Ohio. Becky was the middle daughter of the late Emma Skaggs and Vester Conn and had been preceded in death by her siblings: Geneva Larene Back, Gladice Louise Poteet, and Jesse Edward Conn.
She was married to the late Karl Richard Smith, of New Boston, Ohio, on March 29, 1956 - who was employed at the Atomic Energy Corporation in Piketon, Ohio for 38 years. Together they had two daughters: Katrina Ann Smith and Linda Mae Smith; three grandchildren: Karl Robert Smith, Joshua Paul Adams Sr., and Kristin Elise Adams; and nine great-grandchildren: Joshua Jr., Vyctoryan, Gavin, Elijah, Ivy, Zachary, Blade, Slade, and Gideon.
She had been a faithful follower of Jesus, following the Word of the Lord all her days, having been a member in many churches throughout Scioto, Pike, and Richland Counties in Ohio. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3 KJV While here on earth her body has left us, we know she has entered the place God prepared for her, and we rejoice that her body suffers no more, for God is the God of all comfort and gives peace that passes all understanding. We long to someday take our seat in heaven with our heavenly Father and family, as she has done.
Graveside services for Rebecca will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Memorial Burial Park. Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg has been entrusted with the services. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
