Jason Michael BurgessJason Michael Burgess

Jason Michael Burgess, aka Bubbalou, 50, passed away on December 31, 2021. Born to parents Jim and Beverly Burgess on May 13, 1971 in Portsmouth, Ohio. God thankfully broke the mold when He made Jason. He gave him so much creativity, artistic talent, wit, intellect, and love. While he struggles in some areas of his life, he excelled in others: art, music, comic relief, and being an amateur veterinarian. He made people laugh-sometimes with him, sometimes at him. He was not ordinary by any means and whether you were a patron of Bubbalou’s Tattoos or a fan of Pour the Coal, once you met him, you likely never forgot. He made people laugh until they cried, had the biggest smile and laugh along with the biggest heart. He treasured family, friends, and his precious dogs, Bullfrog, Chelvis, Chelvira, Lil Bit, Cookie, Coal, and Daisy. He especially adored his mother, Bebsi-Poo. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Burgess, paternal grandparents, Virgil Burgess and Bethel Burgess Miller (his beloved Gram B) as well as his maternal grandparent, Donald Radabaugh (Granddad) and Wilda Radabaugh (his feisty Mammaw) and lastly by his beloved Melissa McNutt. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Burgess of Portsmouth, OH, one brother, Marty (Michelle) Burgess of Brandon, FL, one sister, Jodi Burgess of Columbus, OH, a daughter, Marissa Burgess, and one granddaughter that he loved so much, Amiyah, of Portsmouth, OH.

The family will then receive guests from 2:00-3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with funeral services starting immediately after officiated by Preacher Bryan Davis. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
