Melva Cunningham
WHEELERSBURG-Melva Cunningham, 81, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at her home. Melva was born March 23, 1940 in Floyd County, KY to the late Charlie Akers and Sylvia Howell Akers. Melva was a Green High School graduate, class of 1958 and a homemaker. She attended Christ Community Church and was a member of the Red Hats. In addition to her parents, Melva was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Cunningham, January 19, 2016, whom she married December 25, 1959. Melva is survived by a son, John (Linda) Cunningham; a daughter, Dawn Cunningham (Terry Brunner); two sisters, Jewell Hughes and Bonnie Cunningham; grandchildren, Tyler (Kati), Zachary, Cole, Riley, Ethan (Angel), Karleigh, Jimmy and April Floyd; and great grandchildren, Blakely, Braylen, Charlotte, Clara Beth, Aly, Reagan and Kaylynn.
Services for Melva will be 1:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Brian Burchett officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
