Robert Alfred Bailey
LUCASVILLE-Robert Alfred Bailey, 82, of Lucasville, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at SOMC Hospice. Robert was born December 16, 1939 in Franklin Furnace to the late James Franklin Bailey and Ruth Elizabeth Zimmerman Bailey. Robert was a Real Estate Agent with Peggy King Real Estate and also was employed as a Dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol for 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and he was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy, Curt, Arnold and Gayle and three sisters, Jean Staker, Omedia Howell and Sandra Sue in infancy and grandson Justin Crabtree. Robert is survived by his wife, Freda Revenna Haller Bailey whom he married May 24, 1963 in Franklin Furnace. Robert is also survived by three sons, Chris (Tammay) Bailey, Scott (Melanie) Bailey and Michael R. (Laura) Bailey; a daughter, Cheri (Chris) Batanian; a sister, Sharolyn Heatwole (Davis); eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services for Robert will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Cline Rawlins officiating. Interment will be in Haverhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, February 15, and one hour before the 11:00 am service on Wednesday.
