Stella Green
FRANKLIN FURNACE-Stella Green, 93, of Franklin Furnace passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Concord Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. Stella was born July 23, 1928 in Hanging Rock, to the late Elza Johnson and Maudie Porter Johnson. Stella was employed as a Custodian at Aristech and she was a member of Jeanetts Creek Christian Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Earl Green, Sr. May 6, 1987, whom she married October 10, 1947 in Greenup, KY. Stella was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Keith Green and Craig Lee Green; a daughter, Janice Elaine Barber; three grandsons, Mark Anthony Wright, Jr., Ricky Joe Boggs, and Martin Lee Green; five brothers, Hershell, Russell, Arlie, Amos and Elza and three sisters, Talva, Flo and Edna. Stella is survived by a son, Glen Earl Green, Jr. (Helga); two daughters, Vera Lynn Lavender (Charles) and Dinah Marie Boggs, (Steve); a brother, Columbus Johnson; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Services for Stella will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Jared Hineman officiating. Interment will be in Junior Furnace Cemetery.
