Mary Ellen Porter
WHEELERSBURG-Mary Ellen Porter, 70, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her home. Mary was born March 23, 1952 in Portsmouth to the late Daniel Owen O’Connor and Genevieve Burling O’Connor. Mary was a high school graduate, a homemaker and attended Gephart Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Keith Porter on December 3, 2014 whom she married March 3, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her sister Jean O’Connor. Mary is survived by two sons, Brian (Jennifer) Porter and Michael (Amanda) Porter; two brothers, Daniel (JoAnn) O’Connor and John (Anita) O’Connor; a sister, Kathy (Charles) Farley and three grandchildren, Justin, Morgan and Zach.
Services for Mary will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Ronnie Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 and one hour before the 11:00 service on Wednesday.
