Dorothy Louise Ramsey
SOUTH WEBSTER-Dorothy Louise Ramsey, 94, of South Webster entered her eternal rest on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at her home. Dorothy was born July 6, 1928 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Goebel Prise and Idema Wolfenbarger Prise. She married Alfred Dane Ramsey February 4, 1949 in Greenup, KY. Dorothy was a former worker of Meridian Automotive, her life was full of love for her family and her grandchildren who spent many weekends and summer vacations on their farm at South Webster sharing many times around the fire of family cookouts. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Connie Cunningham of Wheelersburg and Dana Ramsey-Carr of South Webster. Her life was blessed with four children, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Dane Ramsey; her sons, Alfred Dane (Terry) Ramsey and Roger Ramsey; a granddaughter, Serena Ramsey Newsome and a great granddaughter, Taylor Ramsey; a brother, Raymond E. Prise and a sister, Noredda Blevins.
Graveside services for Dorothy, in South Webster Cemetery, will be Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made in Dorothy’s name to the South Webster Fire Department. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
