 Robert Steven Allen
WHEELERSBURG-Robert Steven Allen, 73, of Wheelersburg passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 at his home. Robert was born August 1, 1949 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Robert Homer Allen and Martha Jeanette Bartlett Allen. Robert was employed as a Process Operator with USEC. He attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church, he was a life member of the NRA, an Ohio State Alumni and a blood donor. Robert was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by a brother, David C. Allen. He is survived by his wife, Diane Miller Allen, whom he married June 27, 1981 at St. Peters church in Wheelersburg. Robert is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Andrea and Craig Zutavern and Emily and Cole Blankemeyer; a sister, Nancy (Joe) Donini and five grandchildren, Ellie and Jacob Zutavern and Lucas, Electra and Kilian Blankemeyer.
Services for Robert will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at St. Peter’s Church with Fr. Peter Gideon officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg 5:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, June 5, 2023. The family requests Memorial contributions be made in Robert’s memory to Dolly Parton Imagination Library, or The Salvation Army or The Scioto County Library. I have just read the obit. I am so very sorry to h ear this news. I did not know in time to come for visitation. I wished Stever and Diane could have attended some of the retired luncheons so that we could have visited and caught up on old work news. Steve was always outgoing and happy. He will be truly missed.
