WHEELERSBURG-William McGinnis, Jr., 84, of Wheelersburg passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. William was born November 19, 1940 in Carter County, KY to the late Willie McGinnis and Ethel Marie Jordan McGinnis. William was owner of McGinnis Trucking Company and he was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Noah McGinnis; two daughters, Brenda Lee and Donna Marie McGinnis and two sons, Robert Wayne and James Edward McGinnis. William is survived by a son, Efram McGinnis; three daughters, Debbie Hoover, Tammie Howard and Michell Chandler; a niece, Linda Sand; a nephew, Michael McGinnis; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and eleven great, great grandchildren.
Services for William will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Interment will be in McGinnis Family Cemetery, Carter County, KY “Smith Creek” Road.
