
Beverly Sue DeCamp (Cheek) 85 passed away peacefully on July 9 with her loving family present.
Beverly lived life on her own terms and gave a good year long fight. She had a strong work ethic and continued to work at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home up until 2 weeks prior to her death. She gave the same dedication and energy to her previous secretarial roles while employed at Wheelersburg Elementary School, USS Chemicals/Aristech, where she retired after 20 years, and then at Ameriprise Financial in New Boston. Beverly will be missed by all of those she had the pleasure of working with.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela DeCamp and granddaughter Elizabeth “Libby” Mallory. Beverly was the baby of 10 children and is also survived one sister, Margaret Joan Tallman and one brother Paul Cheek and many nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” DeCamp; her parents Nellie and Dean Cheek; brothers Marvin, Max, and Eugene, and sisters, Irene Reinhardt, Dolores Clinebell, Edith Joplin, and Francis June Wooten.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 12, 2025 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00PM.
Services are under the direction of Harrison-Pyles Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers to make donations to SOMC Hospice.
