Charlene Spradlin, 93, of Wheelersburg, Ohio passed peacefully into the arms of our Savior on September 30, 2025, surrounded by loving family.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband and lifelong partner, Arville Spradlin as well as her parents, Charles and Mattie Maggard.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debbie Douthat, Sherrie (Glen) Queen, Mark Spradlin and Cathy Pierson. She was a proud grandmother to Lori (Kevin) Duncan, Tara (Shane) Salyers, Ryan (Shawnell) Queen, Jillian (Chris) Smith, Amy (Brian) Pierson and Wes Pierson and a beloved great grandmother to Cameron (Cassidy), Gage (Lexi) and Lydia (Matt) Salyers, Ethan, Ashton and Olivia Duncan, Grayson, Lyla and Flynn Queen, Cannon Smith, Abigail, Aaron and Addisyn Workman.
Known lovingly as “Mom”, Charlene was the heart of her family. She was a faithful attendee of Garden City Freewill Baptist church and dedicated her life to God and her family. Her home was a gathering place where memories were made around her famous Sunday dinners, poolside cook-outs, lively family game nights and evenings filled with playing music and singing together. Charlene never met a stranger and her kindness and warmth touched countless lives.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and togetherness that will continue to guide her family for generations to come.
A funeral service will be 7:30PM, Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH with Pastor Blaine Etterling officiating. Burial will be at 10:30AM on Monday, October 6, 2025, in Sunset Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
