1956 - 2026

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Joseph (Joe) Stringer age 69, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at the home of his beloved son Jody, in Fairborn, Ohio, surrounded by the love of those who meant the most to him. Born to Jim Bob and Loretta (Woodrun) Stringer, Joe lived a life centered on family. In his final days, he made certain to spend precious time with the people who brought him the greatest joy—his life long partner Alma and their son Jody, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and brothers. Those moments together became treasured memories that his family will carry with them forever. He leaves behind his companion of 51 years, Alma Craig; his cherished son, Jody (Kim) Stringer; his stepson, Tim Craig; his beloved granddaughters, Chelsea Adkins and Michala (Jordan) Lewis; and his four precious great-grandchildren, Kalyn and Jensen Caughron, and Aiden and Myleigh Jenkins, who were truly the light of his life. Joseph is also survived by his siblings: Kathy (Kenneth) Rockwell, Rob (Beverly) Stringer, Jim Stringer, and Bob (Tammy) Stringer, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. Though cancer took much from him, it never took away his love for his family or the strength of his spirit. He will be remembered for the quiet way he showed he cared, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, free from pain and suffering, and will be forever in their hearts. Funeral services will be announced by the family. Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson, Ohio. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice caregivers whose compassion and kindness brought comfort during Joseph’s final journey.

Much Love and many prayers from West Virginia. I'd love to be able to turn back time and try to spend more time with Aunt Loretta and Uncle Jim Bob's Family. Joey's sweet quiet spirit will be missed. I love all of you. Pat
