Kay Lyons Miller, 71, of Ashland, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center, with her loving family by her side.
She was born May 2, 1946, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Ezekiel and Bessie VanHoose Lyons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Jerry Michael "Mike" Miller in 2016; brothers, James, Paul and Walter Lyons.
Kay was a 1964 graduate of Boyd County High School. She loved her Lord and people. She retired after many years of service in the sales industry. She had a witty, outgoing personality and will be missed by all that knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Michael "Dave" Miller of Ashland; a daughter, Jerri (Bob) Green of Catlettsburg; a brother, Gerald (Dink) Lyons of Ashland; grandchildren, Lakin (Tim) Crace, Mikal Miller, Katelyn Miller, Nick Miller, Cortney (Daniel) Conklin, Robert (Staci) Green and Zach (Allison) Green; great-grandchildren, Porter Manning, Kaylee Green, Matthew Green and Kenlee Conklin.
A celebration of Kay's life will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
