1934 - 2024
Inez Virginia Jones Ruark
Inez Virginia Jones Ruark, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and pillar of strength, went to be with her Lord and Savior, February 19th, 2024 in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Inez was 89 years old. Born May 3rd 1934 in Waynesboro, Mississippi. Inez was the cherished daughter of the late Robert Brown Jones and Vashti Jane Hutchinson. Inez known to us all as Murr, was a woman of remarkable character, taste, and kindness, known for her unwavering devotion to our Lord, her husband Paul, her family, and community. Her gentle spirit and loving nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a dedicated gardener that loved being outside in the dirt in her bare feet tending to the most beautiful of flowers. She also could grow anything, and her husband Paul never missed a meal because of it. She was an amazing cook and she loved children, helping to develop countless young minds by walking in the light of our lord and in the power of love to shape a brighter future. Inez was preceded in death by her husband Paul Richard Ruark whom she had been married to for 61 years before his passing, beloved daughters, Paula Regina (Barney) Sommer and Kimberly Kay (Bernie) Tilley, and her siblings Grady, Robert Jr., Minna V, Albert, Juanita, Bidwell, Sarah, Mayola, and Merrill. She is survived by her grandchildren; Joshua (Megan) Sommer, Danielle (Badhree) Babu, and Kaylee (Anthony) Haney, who were the light of her life; her sister Cleo Jane Jones Singletary; 6 great-grandchildren Scarlett, Violet, Sterling, Luke, Ezekiel, and Tillie; Niece Tammy (Fred) Nelson; and all her Jones family nieces and nephews. A woman of faith, Inez was a devoted Baptist, where she found strength and solace in her spiritual community. She will be remembered for her compassion, her grace, and her unwavering faith in God. Inez's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends, who were blessed to have known her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence. A beautiful magnolia, Murr's favorite flower, bloomed in Heaven to show us Spring is coming.
Services to honor and celebrate Inez's life will be held at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio at 11am to 1:00 pm on Thursday February 22nd with Pastor Acey Gibson. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Paul and Inez were our next door neighbors in Lexington, Ohio when we were raising our two young children. I'll never forget Inez's calm and sweet personality as she interacted daily with our family. She was a Godly example of what a grandmother should look like. We treasure our memories of our time together and will keep the family in our prayers.
