Carl Richard Wilburn
FRANKLIN FURNACE-Carl Richard Wilburn, 76, of Franklin Furnace passed away Sunday June 30, 2024 at his home. Carl was born June 18, 1948 in Scioto County to the late John Watson Wilburn and Sylvia Vaughn Wilburn. Carl was employed at N&S Railway in the Car Shop. He was a member of Bridges Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Carl is survived by his wife, Johna Ann Rideout Wilburn whom he married October 14, 1967 in Huntington. He is also survived by two sons, John Elwood Wilburn (Becky) and Carl Richard Wilburn Jr.(Tracy); a daughter, Ina Chaney (Gary); a brother, Tom Wilburn and eight grandchildren.
Committal services for Carl will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Edgewood Abbey, Memorial Burial Park, with Pastor Kevin Fraley officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
