1953 - 2024
Patricia Ann Spurlock Beever, 71, of Lavalette, W.Va., passed peacefully on August 28, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 14, 1953 a daughter of the late Emmett Stanley Spurlock and Tressie Clark. She was raised by a very special grandmother, Annie Spurlock who played a huge role in her life. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Spurlock and Estel Clark. Patti is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Nick Beever; two children, Andrea Nicole Powers (Christopher) and Jeremy Paul Beever; two grandchildren that she dearly loved, Cade Beever and Ella Beever; and one brother, Tonie Spurlock. She had served as the Chief of the local VA Medical Center Canteen and maintained many wonderful friendships from her time there. Patti enjoyed attending the New Vision Baptist Church in Wayne, W.Va., where she was a member. She loved the wonderful people at the Church and, as a Christian, looked forward to meeting her Lord and Savior. She wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Staff at the Edwards Cancer Institute in Huntington, W.Va. for the love and care that she received during her two and half years fight with cancer. Most of all, Patti wanted to thank her loving husband Nick for taking care of her. She also wanted to thank her children, grandchildren, friends and extended family for being there for her over the years. Patti had never met a stranger and was beloved by all that knew her. She will be missed dearly. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Nick we're so sorry to hear about Patty. We've been out of town or we would have come to the funeral home. We're still out of town. But we're so sorry.
