Mary Catherine Manning
Mary Catherine Manning, 68, of Quincy, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006, in her home.
She was born in Quincy on Jan. 14, 1938, a daughter of the late John S.E. and Mary Josephine McQueen Strong. On Aug. 15, 1953, she married Daniel Lee Manning Sr. in Russell, Ky., and he died May 14, 1990.
Survivors include sons, Daniel L. (Norma) Manning of Jacksonville, Ark., John (Tina) Manning of DeGraff, Boyd David (Susan) Manning of Bellefontaine and Kit Andrew (Shannon) Manning of Biloxi, Miss.; a brother, James Strong of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Viola Hawkins of Quincy; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was a bus driver for Riverside Local Schools for nearly 25 years and was an avid bingo player.
At her request, her body was cremated. The Rev. LeRoy Hughes conducts a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
