I miss you so much. I can't believe it has been two years. We are doing okay but things are just not the same without you. So many times I want to call and tell you something or ask your advice--but I can't. I know you are not hurting anymore and for that I am grateful. Someday "daddy" we'll be together again and I can see your beautiful blue eyes and your big smile that you always gave me. Love always, Joette Your #1 daughter

Slim was like a brother to me, rather than a neighbor. He always had a bit of wisdom to pass on. I always enjoyed playing card with the two of you and being involved with your family. I will miss him very much. All my love Rich Corwin

We were shocked to hear of Slim's death. Although we didn't know Slim or Dee too well; we had some things in common - like West Michigan Cancer Center. Richard and Slim had chemo several times at the same time and the four of us became friends with a mutual "cause". We have kept in touch via e-mail, but didn't know things turned for the worse. Our sympathies to the family and God bless.

At 10:57am 8/1509 my mom told me of your dad's/husband's passing. If i'd have known sooner i would have attended. I have too many memories to count of your dad, mostly of him being a hard worker, unloading railroad ties, usually smiling or joking, i always felt welcomed by him when i came to your home as i did by all of you. And the food was always great too, and you could sleep in the living room and we might be shooting a basket or two, or fixing a car or a motorcycle, usually we lost a few parts, but we'd always figure a way to get things back together. Life back then was better than we knew, but of course we know now because we've all gotten older and now are the "providers" for our kids to grow up. What a great time we had, courtesy of mom and dad and our friends mom's and dad's. Your dad was a great guy and he will be missed...but i know because of all he taught that you and yours will find a way to "get it all back together." Sorry i could not be with you today.
