Beatrice Phillips, age 86, of Grayson, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 26th, 2005 at her residence.

Ms. Phillips was born March 5th, 1919, at Grayson, a daughter of the late John S. and Nellie Johnson Phillips.

She was the co-owner and operator of the former Satterly-Phillips Funeral Home in Grayson and was of the Christian Faith. She was also a member of the Eastern Star #10, past recipient of the Grayson Keystone Award, former Secretary of the Grayson Jaycee Horse Show, and a former member of the Red Rose Garden Club and the Miss Grayson Pageant Committee.

Her survivors include:

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 29th, 2005 at 11:00am at the Malone Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Grayson Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, April 28th, from 5-9pm and Friday after 9:00am at the funeral home.

I am very sad that the community has lost a great person like Bea. Jim, Becky and others know she was the no.1 on my turnip list. She was a great election officer and served as sheriff of the court house prec. and made everyone welcome at the post. She will be missed by everyone in this area.

What a loss for everyone.....Bea was a wonderful person, full of life. Every time you saw her, she always had a smile and a kind word. I am so sorry for your loss.
