Beverly and family, I heard of your loss through our classmates. I had not seen Dennis for about a year, and that was at the hospital. He always had a big bear hug for me and his huge smile even as a child was so contagious. I'm so sorry for your loss. Dennis Harold Johnson, 53, of Huntington passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by the Rev. Jerry Chapman. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. He was born August 23, 1953, in Huntington, a son of Vanetta Pauline York Johnson of St. George, Utah and the late Harold Dennis Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Bowen Johnson; three daughters, Shelly Hightower and her husband, Jamie of Barboursville, Ashley Keller of Barboursville, and Suzanne Ward and her husband, Richard of Lavalette; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Evis Bowen of Barboursville; one sister, Anita Williams of St. George, Utah; one brother, Terry Johnson of Provo, Utah; six grandchildren, Julia, Ryan, Madison, Kyle and Chloe Hightower, and Riley Keller.
