Ronald Eugene Fent, age 70, of Gallipolis (Eureka Community) died Tuesday morning May 29, 2007 at his residence. Born September 4, 1936 in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Elijah and Helen Mae Fent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by, 5 brothers, Bud, Bob, Bill, Tom and John Fent, and by 2 sisters, Mary Nickels, and Margaret Nickelson.
He was a retired United States Air Force Veteran, a Veteran of the Vietnam War; he retired after 20 years of service, 13 of which was spent in the Far East.
He is survived by:
Wife: Betty Henry Fent of Gallipolis who he married on June 9, 1990 in Gallipolis.
3 Children: Ronald Fent Jr., John Fent, and Karen Fent all of Nevada.
4 Grandchildren
2 Sisters: Betty Finnegan of Michigan and Geraldine Zornes of Springfield.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM. Saturday June 2, 2007 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood funeral Home, with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 PM.
Military Funeral Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the United States Air Force Funeral Detail.
