MARK STEVEN ADKINS, 56, of Huntington, WV, died on Wednesday June 4, 2008 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Mark was born December 6, 1951, in Detroit, MI. He is the son of Mark J and Shirley G. Adkins of Huntington. Mark was a graduate of Huntington East High School and Marshall University. He was a 25 year employee of the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers in Huntington. He was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Michael Adkins. He is survived by a sister Deborah Adkins and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard Bryan and Carla Adkins, nephews Daniel, Jonathan from Louisiana, and Caleb, Ryan, Kyle Adkins from Florida. Mark accepted Christ and was baptized at 13 years of age. Visitation at HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOURSVILLE on Friday, June 6 2008, from 6-9. Funeral will be at the Mortuary, Saturday June 7, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington. Dr. Ricky Ray will be officiating. I worked with Mark for nearly 20 years. He was a very dedicated employee and tried to help people whenever he could. He will be greatly missed.
