MINNIE V. COLLIER, 91, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va,. with Rev. James E. Jobe officiating. She was born September 8, 1916,in Cabell County, West Virginia the daughter of the late Arnold and Sarah Elizabeth Meehling Payton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Collier, in 1983. She was formerly a cook at the Snak Shack Restaurant in Barboursville and attended Hebron Baptist Church in Barboursville. Surviving are two sons, Preston Collier, Jr. of Huntington and Brian Collier, of Ona, W.Va.; two daughters, Shirley Bias of Salt Rock, W.Va,. and Charlene Collier of Florida; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Greg Payton of Ashland, KY. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at HENSON MORTUARY, BARBOURSVILLE. A procession will depart the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. Thursday . HENSON MORTUARY, Barboursville is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/henson.

Sending prayers and my love to all of you. I wish I could be there, but I am in Missouri and it isn't possible for me to get there at this time. My dad was Benjamin (Claude) Payton, Minnie's brother. I have fond memories of Aunt Minnie and will always have a spot in my heart for her. Love, Elizabeth Kay
