Virginia Faye GraybealVirginia Faye Graybeal, 89, of Chesapeake, Ohio, widow of James B. Graybeal, passed away Monday December 7, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday at the 26th St. Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Arthur, grandson. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. She was born July 8, 1920 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Floyd M. and Martha Newman Holley. She was a homemaker and a member of the 26th St. Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 50 years and was also a member of the Ladies Quilting Aide. She was a very accomplished seamstress and quilter. Virginia was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #89 of Guyandotte. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother Charles F. Holley. Survivors include three sons and two daughters in law Michael Graybeal of Huntington, Bob and Sandy Graybeal of Proctorville, Ohio and Jeff and Anne Graybeal of Huntington; a daughter and son in law Helen and Rick Arthur of Chesapeake, Ohio; Elizabeth Eshem of Huntington who was like a daughter to her; nine grandchildren and their spouses Candice and Greg Taylor of Pulaski, Virginia, Mary and Bruce Evans of Ashland, Kentucky, Shelly and Bryan Rozzi, Tim and Brittany Arthur all of Chesapeake, OH., Jason Graybeal, Annette Graybeal, Nick Graybeal, Joey Graybeal and Elizabeth Abshear all of Huntington; eight great grandchildren Katie, Brandy, Mary Beth, Brian, Paige, Joshua, Jackson and Addison. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home. Mrs. Graybeal will be taken to the church one hour before services Thursday. Hey Mike, Bob &Sandy, I am sorry for the loss of your mom. Moms are the greatest. I am happy that you all had you mom for such a long time. I lost mine too early in life.
