Sara  CrossanSara K. Crossan, 96, of Huntington, passed away on Friday December 18, 2009 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Monsignor Lawrence Luciana. The Rite of Committal will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Sara was born on June 30, 1913 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of the late Arnold Andrew and Georgia Alice Derwacter Allen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas C. Crossan, one grandson Jonathan Dement and three sisters and two brothers; Marie Bussimer, Andrew Allen, Margaret Darner, Bernard Allen and Dorothy Sebach. She is survived by her two sons and daughters in law; Thomas A. and Thomasine Crossan and Emerson R. and Teresa Crossan all of Huntington; two daughters and a son in law Carol A. Crossan of Huntington and Betty J. and Charles Craig of Chesapeake, Ohio; thirteen Grandchildren and spouses Anna Macri, Amy Crossan-Miller and Melvin, Thomas S. Crossan, Angela Dement, Lorianne Craig, Jennifer Eastman, Alice and Steve Fedzack, David W. Crossan, and Andrea L. Crossan, Tootie and Jeremy Robinson and Danny Ferguson II and Amanda and Eddie Maynard; Fourteen Great Grand children and spouse: Olivia Macri, Nathan Dement, Katie Dement, Alex Wilson, T.J. Eastham, Ashley and Chris Loew, Michael A. Crossan, David R. Crossan, Dylan Crossan, Danika Crossan and Riley Glover and Cameron, Logan and Jacob Maynard; two great great grandchildren on the way; two brothers and sister in law Jack Allen of Venice, Fl., and J. Thomas and Velma Allen of Sarasota, Fl. several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from noon until service time on Wednesday in the connection at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Contributions may be made to Hospice House or St. Joseph Grade School. Reger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences maybe made to the family at www.timeformemory.com/reger.
