RAYMOND, Betty J.
Lawton
Betty passed away Saturday morning, July 3, 2010 at her home. She was born April 26, 1931 in Marcellus, MI the daughter of the late Ruby and Flossie (Ulam) Moon. On September 10, 1948 in Paw Paw, Betty was united in marriage to Merritt J. Raymond who preceded her in death on July 29, 2005. She was employed at Welch Foods in Lawton until her retirement in 1996 and enjoyed reading, crosswords and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Cheryl Butler and Sherry Raymond; 4 brothers, Todd, Bob, Ruby Jr. and John Moon; 2 sisters, Ella and Virginia. Surviving are seven children, James (Shirley) Raymond of Paw Paw, Charlene Treadway, Larry (Cindy) Raymond, Cathy (Ray) Piecyk, Betty Padgett, Merritt Sam (Maureen) Raymond, and David Raymond all of Lawton; son-in-law, Kenneth Mick Butler of Paw Paw; 19 grandchildren, Bill Lula, Aaron Treadway Mark and Eric Raymond, Sara Butler, Tory, Chris and Shannon Piecyk, Ashley, Lindsey, and Tyler Padgett, Holly OBrien, Justin and Jordon Raymond, Samantha Sims, Josh, Natesha, Cassandra and MacKenzie Raymond; 17 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, David and Arthur Moon; 2 sisters, Mary Prehn and Linda Ampey; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Lawton Evangelical Mennonite Church with Rev. Roger Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Van Buren County. |

Char,Cathy and family, My condolences on the passing of your Mother. Her life here will go on in her Children,grand children and great grand children.
