Catherine May Kuhn, 82, of Bellefontaine, died at 5:20 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at her home.
She was born in DeGraff on May 13, 1928, a daughter of the late Ray Sherman and Tena Anna Sidle Strayer.
On February 23, 1949 she married Russell Max Kuhn in DeGraff and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2003. Also preceding her in death were a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Anderson Kuhn; grandsons, Russell Thomas Kuhn and Scott Raymond Kuhn; brothers, Donald and Sherman Strayer; and a sister, Lucile Miller.
Survivors include three sons, Dale Kuhn of Bellefontaine, Ronald Kuhn and Glenn Kuhn, Sr. both of De Graff; four grandchildren, Tym Kuhn of Columbus, Douglas (Amy) Kuhn and Glenn (Allie) Kuhn, Jr. both of Bellefontaine, Nikki Kuhn of Belle Center, 11 great grandchildren; three brothers, Harley Strayer, Robert Strayer, Richard (Patty) Strayer all of De Graff, and a sister Louise Beatty of De Graff.
A homemaker she graduated from DeGraff High School in 1946, she worked at Graham Upholstery and also had her own shop for a number of years. She enjoyed crafts, and took quilts to the Ronald McDonald House.
She was a member of Stony Creek Church of the Brethren and the Miami Grange # 2158 for over 50 years.
The Rev. Wayne Downing will conduct a service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff where calling will be on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 P.M. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Stoney Creek Church of the Brethren.
