Patricia Sue Strayer, 74, of DeGraff, died at 12:07 PM Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born in DeGraff on July 2, 1936, a daughter Rebecca Prater Taylor Kreglow, who survives in Conover, and the late Russell S. Taylor. She also was preceded in death by a son, James Strayer; and a brother, Richard Taylor.
On October 23, 1954, she married Richard H. Strayer in Winchester, Indiana and he survives, along a daughter, Jayne (Tony Bilyeu) Strayer of Bellefontaine; grandsons, Joshua (Ashley) Strayer and Justin Strayer; great-grandchildren, Evan Strayer, Ema Strayer and Abi Strayer; and a sister, Carol LeFever of Conover.
A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and her grandchildren.
She was a 1954 graduate of DeGraff High School and a member of the Eagles Aire 2166 Auxiliary and the former DeGraff Presbyterian Church.
Pastor Wayne Downing will conduct a funeral at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff, where visitation will be held on Friday, July 30th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Logan County Cancer Society and Universal Home Health and Hospice.
