Doris Irene McClanahan Perdue, 70, of South Point, Ohio, mother, mother in law, grandmaw and sister, passed away Thursday September 9, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Bryan Malott. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born October 24, 1939 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Adolph and Agnes Sias McClanahan. She was retired from American National Rubber Company and was an employee of Camden Park at the Pizza Shop. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Perdue, Sr., a daughter Charlene Kay Sawyers; sister Marguerite McClanahan and a brother William McClanahan. Survivors include two sons Charles E. Perdue, Jr and his wife B.J. Perdue of South Point, Ohio and Charles G. Chuck Perdue of Huntington; four grandchildren Ashley Perdue, Ray Jones, April Lynn Perdue and Joseph Adkins and great grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers in law Freddie Marie and Danny Coriell, Rosita and Kenny Harless, Earline and Harrison Gibson and Angel Sue Blankenship and a host of nieces and nephews. she was our friend,we liked her,and we are going to miss her she asked my husband if i went anywhere on her day off on friday my husband told her i went to bingo and she came to bingo one night and we had fun she won on one of the games, she was fun to talk to she always came to work, went to the pizza shop and talked to her on my breaks, will miss her dearly i enjoyed her company, she would take me home from the park when i didn't have a ride, and also she brought my daughter home a couple of times from the park also we appreciated her time and her smile so we are sorry to hear this of her passing SHE was my FRIEND when i didn't have one THANK YOU,DORIS FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP i will see you again someday
