Leona Calhoun, 101, of Huntington, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Heritage Center, Huntington, WV
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Westmoreland Baptist Church by Dr. C.J. Adkins. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens
She was a homemaker, a member of the Westmoreland Baptist Church and Marcum Chapter #61 Eastern Star
Leona was born on July 7, 1909 in Spencer, NC the daughter of the late Rossie D. and Berdie Evans Wright.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thamer G. Calhoun and a sister Elizabeth Dixon.
She is survived by her son; Thomas L. Calhoun with whom she made her home and daughter Emily Loudermilk of Lawrenceburg, KY.
Four grandchildren: Thamer L. Calhoun Jr., Timothy W. Calhoun, Toney F. Calhoun and Robert B. Loudermilk, eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
One sister Aileen Carmines of Montana
Friends may call from noon until service time Thursday October 28, 2010 at the Westmoreland Baptist Church.
