Pearl  BaileyPearl Bailey, 92, of Huntington, WV passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park

Pearl was born on May 25, 1918 in Dunlow, WV the daughter of the late Marion and Elisia Sammons Ferguson.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Bailey.

Pearl was a member of Grace Gospel Church for over 60 years, the Democrat Committee Women for the West Huntington area for over 12 years, in 2008 she was named the outstanding Democrat of WV by Governor Joe Manchin, she holds the record for having never missed voting in an election for over 70 years.

She is survived by her son: Bob Bailey of Huntington, daughter and son in law: Ruth Bailey Zinkand and John Zinkand of Maryland

Three grand children: Robin Lee Bailey, Lisa Diann Bailey and Neal Kennedy

Special Friend: Judy Ross and several nieces, nephews and cousins

Friends may call from 6-8 pm Monday at the Reger Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Zoellar, Ottie Adkins, Scott Bias, Johnny McCallister, Nick Ciccarello, Gordon Merry and Chris Tatum

Bob - I just heard the news about Pearl last night. My heart goes out to you and the rest of the family, and all who loved her. I know you loved her dearly. Losing a Mother is something I know all too well. I remember your kind words for me during that time. With these few words I'm sending you lots of love. You're a good man, Bob - you made your Mother proud.

Mr. Bailey & family, I had the pleasure to meet Pearl a few times at the courthouse when I worked dayshift a few months. I know she will be missed at the meetings, along with being missed by you. God Bless you all.

Bob & Ruth, This is truly a sad time for everyone who knew and loved Aunt Pearl. I will always cherish my childhood memories of her and uncle Bob's visits to our home. Aunt Pearl was a wonderful, loving, and caring person. I feel she is rejoicing in Heaven and I pray we will all see her again one day!!
